S&P 500 funds and ETFs you can track in Neto
Neto can track 10 ETFs and 4 index funds from this family. You add them by ISIN or by ticker and the app takes care of updating the price and working out how much they weigh in your net worth, alongside your spending and savings. No bank or broker connection.
What the S&P 500 is
The S&P 500 brings together 500 of the largest listed companies in the United States. It's probably the most followed index in the world and the one with the most product behind it, both as ETFs and as index funds.
What to check first
Being a US index, most of these products trade or are denominated in dollars even when you buy them from Europe. That means your result in euros also depends on the exchange rate, not just on what the index does. Some products offer a currency-hedged version precisely to neutralise that.
What the S&P 500 line-up looks like
The providers with the biggest presence in the S&P 500 within the catalogue are iShares (4), Vanguard (4), SPDR (2). Of the 14 products, 4 are accumulating (they reinvest dividends) and 3 are distributing (they pay them out). It's the difference anyone after income notices most. 1 come with currency hedging, so the exchange rate doesn't eat into the result. By base currency: USD (7), EUR (6), GBP (1). The listed ones trade mostly on NYSE Arca (5), London SE (3), Euronext Ámsterdam (1).

How to track them in Neto
- Open Neto and go to Investments.
- Search for the product by ISIN (funds) or by ticker (ETFs).
- Enter your units and your average purchase price.
- The app updates the price and recalculates your net worth on its own.
Everything you add feeds the same number you see on the main screen, so you don't keep one app for spending and another for investments: it's the same picture.
Frequently asked questions
Is the currency-hedged S&P 500 version worth it?
It depends on whether you mind the dollar moving your result. The hedged version neutralises the exchange rate in exchange for a slightly higher cost. Neto doesn't tell you which to pick: it shows you both if you hold them, and how much each one weighs.
Why does the same S&P 500 ETF show up under several tickers?
Because one ETF can be listed on several exchanges at once, and it gets a ticker on each. It's the same product with the same ISIN. In Neto you can search for it by any of them.
Can I track a S&P 500 product that isn't on this list?
In most cases yes: Neto can track practically any fund or ETF with a ticker or an ISIN. If yours isn't here, write to us at hello@netoapp.es.
